Step 1: Sign In to Google Business Profile Manager

Sign in with your Google account.
Step 2: Add Your Business

Click “Add your business to Google”.

Enter your business name exactly as it appears in the real world.

Select your business category (e.g., Plumber, Electrician, Cleaning Service).
Step 3: Choose Your Business Type

Storefront / Physical Location – If customers visit your business.

If you service customers at their location, list your service areas (cities, suburbs, regions).
Step 5: Add Contact Information

Add your phone number and website URL.

If you’re using Suburb Stack, link to your main domain so customers land on your optimised pages.
Step 6: Verify Your Business
Google needs to confirm you’re a real business. Verification methods include:

Postcard by Mail (most common) – Google sends a code to your address.

Step 7: Optimise Your Profile
Once verified, make your listing as complete as possible:
